A few days ago, we drove to Bromont for a staycation at Beatnik Hotel. And by "we" I mean me, my husband and my son. A little family getaway, just an hour away from home. We had such a unique and relaxing experience. We were surrounded by nature, breathed in clean and fresh air; and even took the time to hike around the hotel surroundings. Lukas loved it.

LOCATION

Beatnik Hotel is located in the heart of Mount Gale in Bromont. It's close to the Balnea Spa ( read about it HERE ), Lake Gale’s Natural resort, and just a few minutes away from Bromont’s village and mountain. The design is a mix of rustic and modern. Lots of woods and metals. A New York vibe in the countryside as they say. It was warm, welcoming and perfectly located in an area where you can do so much in the nature: explore kms of trails on foot or bike, mountain biking , thermal experience etc ...

OUR ROOM

We stayed in the "Grand Studio" which was perfect for our little family. The studio has two separate rooms: one equipped with a queen bed and the other with bunk beds. Lukas was obviously obsessed with the bunk beds; and decided he would sleep in that bedroom alone. Like a big boy! He spent 90% of his time going up and down the bunk beds. Boys will be boys I guess! The studio also has a bathroom and a kitchenette equipped with a stove, a sink, a refrigerator, a microwave etc. It's like your home away from home. You can cook a little something, boil water for some tea before going to bed...

I also like the fact that we had a dining and lounge area in there. If you're like us and love having an intimate space which offers privacy, then the studio will be the perfect choice. We still had access to the main building, the common kitchen and dining room, and the gorgeous terrace. But to be honest, I was 100% mostly excited about the door giving us a direct access to an amazing view outside. WATCH THIS VIDEO, sometimes an image ( or a video should I say ) is worth a thousand words. It felt like opening a door to a treasure we so often take for granted.

THE EXPERIENCE

As mentioned above, we stayed in the main building. The family, regular and spacious rooms are located in another building on the property. They have access to the common areas; a large living room equipped with a TV, a ping-pong table, books, etc... There is also a rear patio with a BBQ, summer and bbq go well together!

I personally loved our studio and thought it was a better fit for us three. It was intimate, a little bit secluded, but oh so perfect!

The first thing I did when I got up in the morning was to open the back door. I took in the view for a few minutes and was in awe. All that we heard very early in the morning was the birds singing. No car or construction noises. Lukas slept much longer than we thought, so we took the opportunity to create some content. When he woke up, we relaxed for a bit,  took our shower and got ready for breakfast.

We headed to the lounge café ( Beat Bistro ) to indulge in a delicious buffet for breakfast. Oh I still remember how the croissant and pain au chocolat tasted. There was a playroom next to the bistro where Lukas went to play afterwards. We enjoyed our breakfast inside then went on the terrace to see the amazing view. We met couples, families and group of friends who came to taste the beautiful experience Beatnik hotel had to offer.

It was such a great time. It was not only about the beautiful interior or being surrounded by nature; but it was also about the impeccable service and the staff being so kind and helpful. Before we left, they print out a map for us so that we can explore the trails near by.

I hope you'll have the chance to spend a day or two at Beatnik Hotel this summer. You will love the experience.
