Feels like home but with added luxury I have to say ;)Another staycation in the books. Each of them has been a unique experience, but Boxotel definitely blew us away on many levels that I'll be going through below. The look and feel of the hotel exceeded my expectations and the experience ticked off many points that are important to me.

LOCATION:
I'm pretty sure I'm not the only for whom location has a huge importance when it comes to hotels. Boxotel is a fairly new hotel located in the amazing quartier des Spectacles / Place des Arts area. This is basically the spot in Montréal where you need to be for all things Jazz festival and major events during summer. The hotel is also a walking distance from a train station and my favourite neighbourhood in Montréal: the Old Port. After our easy check-in, we headed out for dinner in a sushi restaurant next to the Eaton Center, not too far from Boxotel.

SMALL BUT BIG
the interior design at Boxotel was well thought out. Have you ever been in a " small " space which feels grandiose? Well, that's how this loft is: small but big. The space has been smartly designed with a few things in mind: functionality, luxury , high tech features. The loft is equipped with EVERYTHING necessary to make it feel like home: a stove, a dishwasher, a washer + dryer, a fridge. Name it!I like modern and minimal interiors, and one thing I wanted to take home with me was the bathroom: a dream! Plus, the apartment style rooms are decked with a high tech automation system, free ultra fast Wifi throughout the hotel etc ...

SPOTLESS :
I'm a neat freak in general, and even more when it comes to hotels. Right after we entered our room, the cleanliness was immediately remarkable! Keeping the environment in mind, Boxotel offers complimentary housekeeping once a week. Therefore, if you want your room to be tidied up on a daily basis, you'll have to request for it.Personally, I always make my bed in hotels and try to make as little mess as possible. I always feel bad giving too much work to the housekeeping staff ( weird, I know ).

ADDED VALUE:
with rates starting at $180, Boxotel is without  a doubt a good bargain for what you get and all the added value. On the main floor, there is a cute coffee-bar spot: The Café Nomade. The cafe offers complimentary breakfast on site. You can head over to the art gallery one floor down ( Gallery 175B ) to enjoy your food. Otherwise, you can do like us and have it delivered to your room. We'll take breakfast in bed anytime! One thing I have to mention is that the café is conveniently opened 24h/24 for Boxotel's clients. If you love yoga, you don't want to miss out on the free yoga class the hotel offers on Sundays. I attended the class and  it was such a nice way to relax and stretch my muscles.
A late check-out time is available for those participating in the Sunday morning yoga class, so go ahead and take advantage of that. Now onto all the good things on the roof top: a spa featuring a dry sauna, a turkish bath and a mini gym. You could also book treatments and massages if you'd like. So bummed we did not have the time to.You will also find a stunning terrace and a jacuzzi on the roof top. We did not get to experience the terrace because of the rain, but I did spent some time at the spa.Our one night stay at Boxotel was short and sweet.
We were warmly welcomed and had some fun conversation with the amazing staff.
We felt confortable and did not want to leave to be honest.
