When I decided to rebrand to Petite & Bold two years ago, it was not because I wanted a fancy name change: it was because my soul had evolved into something better and healthier.

I honestly always get asked why I chose Petite & Bold as my brand name. I wanted something that represented ME. Petite for obvious reasons, and BOLD because I have learned with time to be confident, to love myself enough to understand I deserve to be happy.

“Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. You really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.” Lucille Ball

When I started blogging, I had no confidence in my abilities. I knew it was a passion, but I was so afraid of what my closest friends and complete strangers would think about me. Without exaggerating, I think my husband and sister were the ones reading my blog at the beginning lol. With time, I learned to listen to my inner voice, to my passions, to my ambitions, to my body. I learned to put myself first, and care a little less about others. I grew.

Then came confidence ... then came boldness.

Your entourage can have such an impact on how you see yourself too. Be around people that will uplift you, encourage you. Surround yourself with positivity. My husband has been my biggest supporter since day one. When I was down on my knees, he was there to help me get up, reminding me my dreams and what I have accomplished so far.

Be gentle with your soul. Self-love is an eternal work in progress.

Some days, I don't like the way parts of my body look. Other days, I feel like I terribly suck at life. Staying confident and loving how God made me is a work in progress. I take comfort in knowing HE never makes mistakes. But I also have a ritual I wanted to share with you.

HOW I LIKE TO START MY DAY

. Wake up, Pray and read the verse of the day

. Meditate and read a few inspirational words

. A minute of self-affirmation

. Stretch, Yoga poses ( if my son is not up by then )

. Get up and it's a go for the day !
